By cultivating both inner and outer gardens, we aim to foster personal growth and create safer, more vibrant communities. Our programs offer a holistic approach that combines therapeutic horticulture, life skills development, and environmental stewardship, empowering participants to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
Our program director, Robb Rodriguez, has been offering community garden classes and school gardening programs since August 2021 and incarcerated garden programs since December 2022. Backed by the knowledge and expertise of the Vista Park Hill Community Garden and its gardeners, he has been able to share the power of working with nature to enhance our quality of life, build self confidence, and connect with our communities.
Our program assistant, Judith Hope Munter, has been instrumental in providing equality of services to Spanish speaking individuals who participate in the programs. She also brings a spiritual point of view that is shaped by her world travels and lived experiences that add to the message of interconnectedness of all people and all environments that is shared in our classes and programs.
